Northern Michigan wildfire burns 15 square miles

SOUTH BRANCH TOWNSHIP, MI –

Two wildfires have burned at least 15 square miles in Michigan's northern Lower Peninsula. The larger fire has burned almost 9,000 acres in Crawford County about 60 miles east of Traverse City and has destroyed at least 12 homes. No injuries have been reported.
