Neighbors in Action: Village Summit

Jan 22, 2014

It’s Wednesday and time for our Neighbors in Action segment, where we feature people and organizations working to make our community a better place. Today we feature Village Summit, a grassroots community center for youth located in Lansing’s Fabulous Acres neighborhood.

Amel Island is the board president and Marcus Brown is Village Summit’s co-founder and a teacher in Lansing public schools. Brown says he saw a need for additional services for children.

If you’d like to nominate someone or an organization to be featured on our Neighbors in Action segment, please send an email to Put “Neighbors in Action” in the subject line, or tweet us @KARCurrentState and tell us why you think they should be featured for the great work they do.
