Bob Hoffman presents Y-PIF awards to Skylar Mendes (left) and Rachel Kilmer.

The mission of ePIFanyNow is to create a revolution of positive, transformational experiences through acts of kindness. For Neighbors in Action, we speak with founder Bob Hoffman and two recipients of the organization’s Y-PIF award, which is given to youth in the Lansing community who are “passing kindness forward.”

As adults, we often talk about setting an example for children to follow, but sometimes, the kids are the ones who set the example for us. ePIFanyNow is a Lansing organization dedicated to “Passing It Forward.” Their mission is to create a revolution of positive experiences through acts of kindness. Every year they give awards to youth in the community who are taking initiative and finding new ways to spread kindness to others.

Current State talks about ePIFanyNow and the Y-PIF awards with the organization’s founder, Bob Hoffman, and two recent recipients of ePIFanyNow’s Y-PIF awards, Skylar Mendes and Rachel Kilmer.

Current State is looking for more nominations for our “Neighbors In Action” feature. Please help us out and e-mail us your suggestions to currentstate@wkar.org. Put ‘Neighbors in Action’ in the subject line. Or tweet us: @KARCurrentState and tell us a little about why you think they should be featured for the great work they do.
