MSU Symphony to play world premier viola work

EAST LANSING, MI – Friday night at Wharton Center, the MSU Symphony Orchestra will play a concert that includes the world premiere of a viola concerto by the MSU College of Music's Riccardo Lorenz. Melissa Ingells recently spoke with conductor Leon Gregorian about the program, and they were joined by the soloist, artist in residence Roberto Diaz of the Curtis Institute of Music, who talked about the premiere of "Canciones de Jara."
