MSU Nursing gets $7.5M stimulus grant for research

By AP

EAST LANSING, MI –

Michigan State University's nursing school is getting $7.5 million from the federal government to expand and consolidate its research activities.

Michigan U.S. Sens. Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow say the grant will pay for construction of a three-story addition to existing facilities at the East Lansing campus.

They say the grant will allow the College of Nursing to relocate, consolidate and expand its research work.

The money comes from the National Institutes of Health's National Center for Research Resources.
