MSU athletes accused of sexual assault

By Scott Pohl, WKAR News

EAST LANSING, MI – Two Michigan State University basketball players have been accused of sexual assault, but the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office has decided not to file charges.

Names of the accused and the alleged victim have not been made public.

The Michigan Messenger website reports that the alleged assault occurred in Wonders Hall in late August.

According to a police report, one of the players made a statement that backs up the story told by the alleged victim.

Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings the Third says the case was reviewed by prosecutors of both genders, and none found the necessary elements of force and-or coercion. He adds that filing charges does remain a possibility.
