Luke Winslow King performed April 18 in WKAR Studio A for BackStage Pass.

EAST LANSING, MI; APRIL 27, 2018 – Have you made it to a BackStage Pass Concert recording yet? The amazing production team at WKAR has turned the 5500-square-foot Studio A into a unique and intimate concert venue for nine special performances taking place over three weeks.

Audience members get the thrill of being part of the show as each performance is recorded for an upcoming episode of BackStage Pass, the WKAR original TV series seen on PBS stations across the country. The series is currently in production for its ninth season showcasing music made in Michigan.

Since April 18, guests at WKAR studios have been treated to performances from Luke Winslow King, Zombie Jesus and the Chocolate Sunshine Band, SIAS, and The Go Rounds.

The free concert series now heads into its final stretch, with five shows over the next eight days. The line-up features Jack + The Bones, Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers, The Harmaleighs, Jesse Ray and the Carolina Catfish, and Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor.

Admission is limited to about 150 seats per show. Tickets are free, but must be reserved in advance at wkar.org. Standby seating may be available the evening of each show, on a first-come, first-served basis.
