'Midwife' Fans Enjoy Sneak Peek!

Fans of the popular British drama Call the Midwife enjoyed a special sneak preview when they attended An Evening with WKAR at Studio C! on March 21.

It may have been very cold outside but hearts were warmed within as guests saw the first episode of the new season, which premieres on March 31 at 8 p.m. on WKAR.

London, 1958

The first episode takes viewers back to the East End of London in 1958. Jenny is attending a pregnant woman with an abusive husband, while Trixie and Sister Evangelina experience a completely different experience when they are called to care for a woman aboard a cargo liner.

As guests entered the theatre, they were uniformly excited about the event and the upcoming season, calling the series "fabulous," "full of heart" and "extremely well done." At its conclusion, the screening was met with warm applause.
