Michigan has 'hot' jobs, but skills are needed

There are jobs available in Michigan for people with the right skills.

Lansing Community College is convinced of that. The school is offering a money-back guarantee for students who complete training in one of four programs if they can't find a job within a year.

Pharmacy technicians, call center specialists, computer numerical control machinists and product quality inspectors are the highlighted hot jobs.

Michigan has had the nation's highest jobless rate for years. State officials expect most of the hot jobs of the near future will require education or training beyond high school.
