Michigan Group Says Las Vegas Shooting Shows Gun Reform Laws Are Needed

The massacre in Las Vegas is renewing the calls for changing gun laws in America.

Linda Brundage, executive director of the Michigan Coalition To Prevent Gun Violence said their calls for changing gun laws is "not" about taking freedoms away.

“Nobody’s coming for guns," said Brundage. "We want these purchased with a background check and if they’re not in use. And there’s no reason for a military style weapon like the one used last night.”

President Donald J. Trump did not mention firearms during his remarks earlier today.

His press secretary says the day after the shooting is not the time to renew a debate over gun control.
