This week on All Things Considered, we are hearing from five of your Michigan neighbors of diverse backgrounds their perspective on race and culture. Today, Lansing native Ashley Bell talks about growing up in Lansing. 

WKAR Digital News Director Reginald Hardwick asked all of our panel their backgrounds and where they grew up.. And then they answered three questions: 

-What is their first memory of learning they were different?

-What is misunderstood about their race or ethnicity?

-What makes them proud of their race or ethnicity?
