MEDIA ADVISORY: WKAR's 'BackStage Pass' to Announce June Concert Recordings and Venue

Join WKAR as it reveals the line-up for the next Backstage Pass recording sessions, coming to East Lansing in June. The WKAR television series featuring music made in Michigan kicks off an all-new season of production at a brand new venue, with bands that have never been featured before by WKAR. On hand at the announcement will be series producer Tim Zeko, East Lansing officials, and band members from acts performing for the free concert series in June.

More About BackStage Pass
Three seasons of BackStage Pass have featured over thirty music acts from Michigan (more than 150 individual performers), with styles ranging across rock, jazz, folk, funk, classical, comical, blues, world, and more.  The series producer for WKAR is Timothy W. Zeko.

BackStage Pass is distributed nationally to public broadcasting stations by the National Educational Telecommunications Association. The series featuring music made in Michigan has been seen in New York, Baltimore, San Francisco, Tampa, Chicago and parts in between.

WKAR is part of Michigan State University’s College of Communication Arts & Sciences and includes WKAR-TV, WKAR Radio, WKAR.org, WKAR Ready To Learn Service, WKAR Radio Reading Service and Interactive Video Services.
