LANSING, MI – Political and business leaders are heading to northern Michigan's Mackinac Island for the annual Detroit Regional Chamber policy conference.
The three-day conference starts Wednesday and will feature speeches by U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Chrysler Group LLC CEO Sergio Marchionne, Gov. Jennifer Granholm, ex-House Speaker Newt Gingrich and ex-Turin, Italy, mayor
Valentino Castellani.
The five Republican and two Democratic gubernatorial candidates will join for a Thursday debate.
About 1,500 people are expected to attend the event.
