With "Star Wars: Episode VII-The Force Awakens" opening last week, "Star Wars" mania is sweeping the nation, and Lansing is no exception. We talk to two local professionals who have been avid "Star Wars" fans since they were children about how the story still resonates with them today.

The "Star Wars" franchise has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions around the world. "Episode VII-The Force Awakens" made $517-million worldwide this past weekend, breaking the opening weekend box office records both in the USA and worldwide.

Here in Lansing there are plenty of die hard "Star Wars" fans as well. Current State talks with T.J. Bucholz, a fan since he was a boy and now he’s the president of  local communications and marketing firm Vanguard Public Affairs, and Shannon Schmoll, director of Abram’s Planetarium.
