Current State's Live Music Friday guest is Donny Brown. The former Verve Pipe drummer struck off on his own last year with “Hess Street E.P.” and he’s just released a second, self-titled EP.
Last spring, Donny Brown, the former drummer with The Verve Pipe, released a solo EP called “Hess Street,” inspired by his childhood in Saginaw. In December, he put out another EP. This time, it’s self-titled, and he’s our Live Music Friday guest to play songs from the EP called “Donny Brown.”
He’s joined by Hank Horton on bass, vocalist Connie Brock, and multi-instrumentalist Kay Rinker-O’Neill. Songs performed live in WKAR's Studio S include "Just a Friend."
