The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for mid-Michigan from Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon. A quarter-inch of ice accumulation is possible as freezing rain and sleet are forecast from Thursday into Friday. Precipitation should turn to rain on Friday. Holiday travel on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day could become hazardous.
