Julian Van Dyke has been connected with Lansing’s Old Town arts scene for 20 years. Current State’s Kevin Lavery talks with the artist about his new exhibit in Old Town.

The Arts Council of Greater Lansing is hosting a reception tonight for a local artist with deep roots in Old Town. Julian Van Dyke’s work has appeared in many venues in the region, from office buildings to malls to school campuses.

Van Dyke is a painter known for his murals and for his work with the Lansing school district as an artist in residence.

Current State’s Kevin Lavery met up with him this week as he was preparing for his showing on Turner Street.
