Maestro Raymond Harvey has led the Kalamazoo Symphony for 17 seasons. We talk with him about being a tour guide for this weekend’s Kalamazoo concert, where he takes the audience to Italy in a exploratory program about the life of Antonio Vivaldi.

The era of classical music stretches hundreds of years, and it can be challenging to know where to start. The Kalamazoo Symphony and Music Director Raymond Harvey are trying to help with their “World Of…” concert series.

Current State fine arts reporter Jamie Paisley speaks with Maestro Harvey about the subject of this Sunday’s concert. They will be exploring the world of Antonio Vivaldi, that wildly popular early Baroque composer.
