Before Jackson performance, Art Garfunkel on music, walking the USA and “flow”

He has one of popular music’s most recognizable voices. Art Garfunkel sang memorable hits like “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” We talk with the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer ahead of a weekend concert in Jackson.

Simon and Garfunkel won 14 Grammy Awards on their way to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. As a solo artist, Art Garfunkel has made ten albums and acted in movies like “Catch-22” and “Carnal Knowledge,” for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe as Best Supporting Actor. On Saturday, he’s performing at the Jackson College Potter Center.
