By Mark Bashore, WKAR Radio News

East Lansing, MI – Mark Bashore, WKAR Radio News

Ingham County health officials have identified norovirus as the cause of a sudden outbreak of intestinal illness at Michigan State University.

The contagious virus sent about 25 people---most of whom dined at MSU's Shaw Hall---to Sparrow Hospital for treatment of stomach pain, nausea and diarrhea beginning early Wednesday morning.

All of those afflicted were expected to be discharged on Thursday.
