LANSING, MI –

Former Lansing mayor David Hollister is cutting back on his schedule with the economic development organization he helped found after leaving office.

AUDIO: The non-profit Prima Civitas Foundation is searching for a new president and CEO, as David Hollister plans to step down from his day-to-day responsibilities next March.

Hollister says he will play a role in choosing his successor. He hopes someone will be hired by mid to late summer.

"I could then work with them for several months in the transition," Hollister says, "so that they were, whoever he or she might be, would be comfortable with taking that role."

Hollister will turn 69 next year, and his health is an issue. He was diagnosed with parkinson's disease nine years ago.

He stresses that he will remain active with Prima Civitas in whatever way the new leadership team would like.
