East Lansing, MI – Governor Granholm will host an education summit next week in Lansing.
She says 600 community leaders will come together to discuss how to make Michigan a leader in education.
The Governor says she's encouraged by the steps some communities have already taken to help high school graduates.
The Governor says she wants more "Promise" communities, which would offer free college tuition to local high school graduates.
Kalamazoo is the state's flagship "Promise" community.
The education summit is on Tuesday, April 28.
