Republican candidates for president Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney have a few campaign stops planned in Michigan this week, with the GOP primary just over a week away.
Santorum plans to speak at a Lincoln Day dinner in Grand Rapids tonight before he heads to Arizona for an event there tomorrow morning.
Santorum has enjoyed a lead in recent polls of perspective Republican voters in Michigan. But his rival, Michigan-native Mitt Romney, may be closing the gap, according to at least one recent survey. Romney has been endorsed by all of Michigan’s top GOP elected state officials, including Governor Rick Snyder.
He has a few campaign stops scheduled in Michigan this week, with a brief stopover in Arizona, which shares its primary date with Michigan.
