It's a day called #GivingTuesday. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
This year on #GivingTuesday, WKAR presents a TV special that unites mid-Michigan nonprofits, businesses and community organizations around that common cause.
The original local special from WKAR celebrates #GivingTuesday with highlights of WKAR programming and conversations with some of the station's biggest supporters, including viewers, members and representatives of organizations and businesses that have generously supported the mission of public media in mid-Michigan. The 90-minute special is hosted by WKAR TV Station Manager Susi Elkins.
Guests on the program include April Clobes of MSU Federal Credit Union, Erin Davis from General Motors, Danielle Robinson of Jackson National Life, Roger Millbrook and Joe Irish of Siena Wealth Advisors, Greg Marks with Michigan STEM Partnership, Brooke Tudor from Hearing Health Center and many more.
