WKAR was pleased to welcome IRA expert Ed Slott, host of Ed Slott's Retirement Rescue and other public television specials, to the station on October 16.

Guests attending not only had quality time with Ed Slott but also had the opportunity to see a live taping of QuizBusters, tour the set of Off the Record and get a first-hand look at what a green screen is like in the studio and what it looks like after it is used to create a virtual set.

"We were pleased that Richmond Brothers Inc. made this opportunity available to us at WKAR and that we were able to share his time with our guests," says WKAR's Cathy Zell, senior director of development.

What Did the Guests Think?

Scott and Margo Ross attended the event. "I've been reading Ed Slott's books for several years," Scott said. "
During our time at WKAR Ed answered very specific and technical tax questions.  That was a thrill because he was so knowledgable, practiced what he preached, and believed strongly if people followed his approach it would benefit them financially," he added.
