Detroit, MI – The Democratic Unity breakfast held Friday morning lacked something important - unity.

AUDIO:

Lansing Mayor and Democratic nominee for governor Virg Bernero told House Speaker Andy Dillon that he respects him for his fight in the primary.

"Of course, I appreciate the work, the heart and soul you put into the campaign, and then to stand up here and give me your support," Bernero said.

But Dillon didn't exactly offer his support for Bernero. Dillon says he's not ready to endorse Bernero, and he'll take his vacation time to make sure his agenda and the mayor's agenda align.

"I'm happy to be here today without any bad feelings," said Dillon. "But when I get back I just want to make certain that certain planks of my platform will be embraced."

Dillon says any rumors that he might support Republican nominee Rick Snyder are nothing more than idle talk.
