Holt public schools superintendent Dr. David Hornak expects children to use the trail to commute to school.

Delhi Ram Trail 2 stretches from Holt and Eifert roads, northeast through the center of Delhi Township to Jaycee Park.

“With childhood obesity on the rise nationwide, the new trail provides an outlet for our students to get in shape and find new ways to enjoy the outdoors," said Dr. Hornak in a press release.

The trail cost $1.2 million to build.  It was funded through township funds and grants from the Michigan Department of Transportation.
