Twitter/Spartan Football

MSU Football; Brian Lewerke; U-M Football; Hannah Miller; Gymnastics; Detroit Lions; MSU Men's Basketball.

As Halloween lurks, "Current Sports with Al Martin" covers the spook suffered by MSU football. After three overtimes, MSU fell to 6-2 on the season. However, over the course of the full 60 minutes and six extra drives, there's a lot to get down, so Al forgoes the "Quick Hit Headliners." Plunging right into the meat of the day, Al retraces the wrong steps the Spartans made. But despite all of that, engineer Isaac Constans urges State fans to calm down after the team's quick start. A big word here from Isaac and some big words from a caller welcome in the guest of the day. Hannah Miller, Olympic hopeful figure skater, describes what it takes to make the international level. As she has joined a new healthy campaign centered on milk, the MSU student skates through her journey to the top. Also receiving worthy mentions, the Michigan football team, Michigan State men's basketball team, Michigan State men's soccer team all receive some exposure on a quick wrap-up. Also, get Al's take on the local high school football reports after the first round of the playoffs and the Detroit Pistons sitting atop the Eastern Conference.
