Detroit Lions; NFC North; NFL Schedules; MSU vs. Duke Basketball; Tom Izzo; DeShaun Tate; Champions Classic.

No more excuses. The Detroit Lions need to be result-focused from here on out, and "Current Sports with Al Martin" begins by making the matter pretty simple: the Lions must win the NFC North. As Al points out, the possibility is no longer just the hopes of fans, but the Lions are in the driver's seat for the rest of the season. Why? Well, quite a few factors lean in their favor. Those same factors, as engineer Isaac Constans point out, not only favor the Lions but disadvantage their opposition. Yet even with all of the advantages, the Lions could suffer from a loser's mentality. Neither of these teams do, though. The no. 1 Duke Blue Devils and no. 2 Michigan State Spartans tip off tonight in what could prove to be an early determinant of the best men's college basketball team in the country. With all of the hype surrounding the game, Current Sports brings it home with DeShaun Tate, college basketball reporter for CBS Radio in Atlanta, reporting live from the scene. With a few intriguing matchups in the Champions Classic bout, DeShaun highlights the crucial ones and provides a full scouting report on the Blue Devils. Al also entertains another story line--the notorious failure of MSU head coach to win against Duke. Is that a barrier that will be torn down tonight? Listen to find out.
