Michigan’s biggest country music festival of the summer is in Brooklyn this weekend. Michigan International Speedway will host theFaster Horses Festival, which includes three days of music, camping, and fun in southern Michigan.

Brian Lorente and the Usual Suspects is a Lansing band that played at last year’s festival. Current State’s Scott Pohl talked with Lorente about what to expect this year.

Lorente says that he used his VIP pass at Faster Horses last year to hang out with some of the stars.

Scott Pohl is a general assignment news reporter and produces news features and interviews. He is also an alternate local host on NPR's "Morning Edition."
