Democratic attorney general candidate David Leyton's campaign wants a Michigan Republican Party TV ad attacking him pulled, claiming the woman it features made an anti-Semitic statement online.

Deb McIntosh says in the ad that Leyton failed to fully prosecute a 2006 murder case as Genesee County prosecutor. She says he cut "an outrageous plea deal" with the man charged in her son Adam's shooting death.

Leyton's campaign says McIntosh made an offensive remark Saturday under a story by The Flint Journal about Leyton, who is Jewish. The comment was posted by a person identified as "ADAMSMOM."

A message seeking comment was left at a telephone listing for McIntosh.

The Michigan Republican Party says Leyton should apologize to McIntosh for such "awful accusations."
