BUDGET UPDATE: Michigan House approves a 30-day budget

LANSING, MI – The Michigan House is voting on a temporary budget that would continue current spending levels for 30 days. That would buy lawmakers more time to reach a budget deal with the midnight deadline drawing closer. The Senate would also have to adopt the temporary plan. But Republican leaders want a temporary budget to cut spending.
