The race for governor appears to go through Guantanamo Bay, the latest on budget talks, and the film tax credit, dead or alive. The guest is GOP activist Richard McLellan. Richard McLellan has been a back-room player in state Republican politics for over 40 years. A close confidant of former governor John Engler, McLellan chaired Engler's transition team when he was first elected. Along the way, McLellan chaired the Corrections Commission and served on the state film commission. He continues to chair the Law Revision Commission, a post he's held for twenty years. He holds a law degree from the University of Michigan. Chris Christoff, Rick Pluta, and Bill Ballenger join senior capital correspondent Tim Skubick. |
