A pay cut for state officials and bi-partisan cooperation on a business tax. The guest is Dr. Gary Wolfram, noted Michigan conservative economist and former advisor to John Engler.

Dr. Gary Wolfram has served on a variety of state government boards, including the board of Lake Superior State University and the state Board of Education. He was deputy state treasurer during the Engler administration, senior tax advisor to the state Senate, and was also chief of state to former Michigan Congressman Nick Smith. Wolfram is currently president of the Hillsdale policy group, specializing in tax policy.
