A new plan encourages senior teachers to retire now, the new state budget calls for layoffs, and Senate Republicans nix a business surcharge. The guest is Oakland County Representative Tom McMillin (R), a newcomer to Lansing but no stranger to conservative GOP politics.
Representative Tom McMillin, a conservative Republican from Oakland County, was recently elected to the Michigan House, where he will serve on the Education and Labor committees. He is a former county commissioner and was mayor of Auburn Hills. He ran unsuccessfully for Congress and has been active in Michigan GOP politics for years.
