The auto bailout is not going well in Washington, the budget mess in Lansing is not getting any better and Dennis Archer talks about running for governor. The guest is Paul Welday. The Republican from Oakland County is a candidate to be party chair in Michigan. Paul Welday has been in the trenches for the state GOP since his days working on the Dick Headlee for Governor campaign. He was executive director of the Oakland County GOP in the 80s before being deputy director of the Jack Kemp for President effort in 1988. Welday served as chief of state for Congressman Joe Knollenberg and was chair of the Oakland County GOP in 2003. He is now a candidate to be state party chair.
