The new Michigan legislature grapples with an old problem -- the budget deficit -- and Granholm taps two former governors to outline solutions for the budget mess. The guest is business leader Charlie Owens.
Charlie Owens is director of the Michigan chapter of the National Federation of Independent Businesses. He's been with the group for the last 14 years and spent nine years before that with another trade organization. Owens holds a degree from Northern Illinois University and is on the front line of the battle over replacing the SBT. One quarter of his members may be in line for a sales tax hike if and when the governor goes there.
With Dawson Bell, Kathy Barks Hoffman and Bill Ballenger.
