The governor wants the lame ducks to tackle the Single Business Tax issue, and the civil war in the state GOP is over… or is it? The guest is Senate Majority leader-elect Mike Bishop (R), on issues facing the lame duck session and the new legislature.
Senator Mike Bishop is the incoming GOP leader in the Michigan Senate. The Oakland County Republican served two terms in the Michigan House before election to the Senate four years ago. He has served as chair of the Senate Banking Committee, which his father, Donald Bishop, chaired when he served in that body. Bishop holds a degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Detroit College of Law. Senator Bishop replaces outgoing majority leader Ken Sikkema, who was term-limited out of office.
With Bill Ballenger, Rick Pluta and Kyle Melinn.
