Election 2008: Democratic Challenger May Do Well In 8th District Race
Next week, two Michigan Republican congressmen may lose their seats. In the 7th district, Rep. Tim Walberg could be replaced by Democrat Mark Shauer. In the 9th, Rep. Joe Knollenberg faces a similar threat from Democrat Gary Peters.
But the contest in the 8th district, which includes Lansing and East Lansing, isn't on anyone's watch list. Both political parties assume the incumbent, Republican Mike Rogers, will be re-elected.
But at least one analyst thinks Rogers' Democratic challenger will do better than expected.
WKAR'S Gretchen Millich reports.
