Google To Scan MSU Library Books
Michigan State University is one of the major universities being tapped by Google for its massive Book Search project.

Yesterday, the internet search engine company announced a project with a 12-university consortium known as the Committee on Institutional Cooperation, or CIC. MSU is a member.

Yesterday's announcement could lead to the digitization of as many as 10 million volumes. The deal brings the total number of schools where books and other materials will be scanned to 25. Two member schools, the universities of Michigan and Wisconsin, were already aligned with Google.

WKAR's Scott Pohl talked about the project with Cliff Haka, Director of Libraries at MSU.
