Technology Update: Computer Expert Talks About Early DST Consequences
Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a-m Sunday, three weeks earlier than normal. Congress lengthened the amount of time the nation observes Daylight Saving Time to reduce energy consumption, even though there's some debate over how much energy really is saved.
There's an unintended consequence to the early start; many devices that track time won't account for the change.
Scott Pohl spoke with author and MSU Technologist Rich Wiggins. Scheduling is the first potential problem they talked about.
