Sixty years ago, WKAR-FM went on the air in mid-Michigan. In 1948, FM radio was a new technology that promised high-fidelity and static-free reception. At first, most people didn't have FM receivers. And the unique programs we now enjoy didn't emerge until the sixties. A two part report exploring 60 years of 90.5.
