MSU Media Sandbox is a creative CURRICULUM and COMMUNITY in the College of Communication Arts & Sciences at Michigan State University that is seeking a highly motivated and outgoing individual to serve as an Event/Promotion Coordinator.
Responsibilities include coordinating all promotional activities, workshops, conferences, and other events. This person will coordinate with external venues and event coordinators, schedule volunteers, train student staff for events, arrange meeting spaces, coordinate travel plans, submit reimbursement reports, prepare mailings, and other office duties as needed for the Director of the Media Sandbox, and other Sandbox collaborators.
The successful candidate must be willing to work nights and/or weekends as events occur; some travel will be required.
Successful candidates will be knowledgeable and passionate about media, with experience coordinating large scale events, able to manage multiple projects and personalities, and be able to write with expertise.
