WKAR and Kresge Present "A Night at the Museum"

WKAR invites all station members, listeners, and viewers to join us for exclusive showing of Kresge Art Museum’s winter 2010 Masterwork Exhibition – American Modernism 1920-40s – on Wednesday,  February 10, from 6-8 p.m., with a gallery talk at 7 p.m. The museum is located at 127 Kresge Art Center on the MSU campus.

WKAR news producers Scott Pohl and Gretchen Millich will be at the event to greet guests.

This exhibition showcases more than 100 paintings, prints, photographs, sculptures, and drawings from the museums’ collection, focusing on the years between the two World Wars. It was a time when artists in America were searching for a distinctly modern style that was novel, inventive, and forward-looking.

Artists represented in this show, among others, will include: Hananiah Harari, Arthur Dove, Ralston Crawford, William Stanley, and Frank Lloyd Wright.

For further information about the exhibit, continuing through March 14, contact the museum at (517) 353-9834.
