WKAR Presents Governor's State of the State Message

WKAR presents Governor Jennifer Granholm’s annual State of the State Message live on Wednesday, February 3, at 7 p.m. The address will be carried on public television and radio stations statewide.
Coverage will run from 7-8:30 p.m.

Granholm will deliver her eighth and final address before a joint convention of the State House of Representatives and Senate from the House Chambers at the State Capitol. She will outline her agenda and priorities for the coming year to the citizens of Michigan.


The governor’s address will be followed by the Republican Response, if provided.


On WKAR-HD/23
Public television’s senior capitol correspondent, Tim Skubick, will anchor coverage and analysis with a panel of reporters to be announced.


On 90.5 WKAR
90.5 WKAR will be featuring Michigan Public Radio Network coverage of the address. Rick Pluta will anchor live coverage from the studio, with WKAR news director Kevin Lavery and news producers Melissa Ingells and Gretchen Millich on the production team. Craig Ruff will join Pluta as in-studio analyst.
