Help Us Make 500 New Friends During the Campaign
We know that telling our loyal WKAR donors all the good things about public radio is like preaching to the choir! You already know why WKAR 90.5 FM and AM 870 are your favorite public radio stations, and that’s why – thanks to you – we recently ended our fiscal year achieving our membership goal this year of just over a million dollars. That says a great deal about the level of support and the importance listeners place on WKAR, and about you, our loyal donors. Thank you!
As we enter a new fiscal year, we have two major challenges. The first is retention of our current donors. You are the financial foundation of WKAR Radio! The second challenge is convincing listeners who have never given that WKAR is worthy of their support.
Seeking New Donors!
New donors are important to the growth of WKAR. We need to continually add new individuals to our WKAR family for several reasons including people who move out of the area, to cover increases in daily operating costs, and to set aside money for equipment replacement. We have decided to make a concerted effort to increase our member ranks by adding new WKAR 1,000 donors during the next 12 months. Our goal is 500 new donors for each of our on-air campaigns. We know we can only reach this goal with your help.
Tell your friends
Please tell your friends, neighbors, and co-workers who listen to WKAR, that you support the station – and that their support is needed too, to continue to maintain the quality of radio broadcasting that mid-Michigan enjoys. As we look to maintain and improve our services, we know it can only be done with their first time donation… and with your continued support. We hope you’ll call in to renew your support and encourage others to pledge their support during our Fall on-air campaign, October 9-16.
