High-quality online professional development courses for PreK-12 teachers in Michigan, spanning the curriculum from Reading/Language Arts to Math, Science, Technology and more.

Through TeacherLine, WKAR offers a collection of online courses that focus on the skills and techniques mid-Michigan educators can use to help PreK-3 learners develop math and early literacy skills, including: numbers and operations, addition & subtraction, phonics, spelling, comprehension, oral language, vocabulary, and more.

PBS TeacherLine professional development courses are offered in several different lengths and intensities to fit teacher's schedules and learning needs.

Courses are delivered via the Internet -- they're available whenever and wherever it's convenient.

Professional Recognition

WKAR has obtained Michigan State Board Certification for all of the PreK-3 PBS TeacherLine courses. Graduate credit is also available for many courses.

Collaborative/Interactive Learning

Trained facilitators guide discussions and provide valuable feedback. Participants take part in a professional learning community, able to share strategies and insights with colleagues locally and across the nation.
