Friends of the Hope Borbas Okemos Library For Immediate Release Contact: Cecelia Kramer, 349-3297 News Release The Friends of the Okemos Library will hold their annual Strawberry Breakfast on Thursday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the Okemos Library. Heidi Butler, Local History Librarian at Capital Area District Library will share facts about the Greater Lansing area and the many library resources available to us in our own research. Ms. Butler will highlight the resources of the Forest Parke History section of CADL. She will describe the life of Forest Parke and his livelong passion for preservation. More importantly we will learn how to use his collection to discover information about our region, the city, or even a parcel of land! Butler will also share other resources that assist with genealogical research. Strawberry Breakfast attendees will enjoy a brunch featuring strawberries and other appetizing treats. The cost is $15.00 for members of the Friends and $18.00 for nonmembers. Space is limited and paid reservations are required and due by Monday, May 14.
