To promote safe bicycling and raise the awareness of motorists, the Tri-County Bicycle Association invites cyclists to join the annual Greater Lansing Ride of Silence. On Wednesday, May 16, please join fellow cyclists who will take to the streets in a silent procession to honor those cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. Registration will take place between 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the Wells Hall Plaza (between Wells Hall and the International Center) on the Michigan State University campus. The memorial ride will start promptly at 6:30 p.m. from the plaza. It will be a slow ride, conducted in solemn and reflective silence, with a police escort provided all the way to the State Capitol in downtown Lansing and back to campus. The Ride of Silence is open to all ages and riding skill levels who wish to participate. Helmets are required. A post-ride get-together will take place at Lansing Brewing Company.
